I feel like this video was made based on people's experience or memories of the song. I thought I would share mine.

It was prom night. I got news my grandpa had passed away. My date was driving me home and this song came on. We sat with neither of us talking, but I remember just looking out the window and crying with the streetlights passing by. It was a sad night, but for some reason this song never makes me sad.

I am so sad right now. I love Elton John.... he was a friend of princess Dianna who really truly got screwed by the system. The higher the pedestal the longer the fall. Hendrix, Elton, and the Reggae legend...they all spoke whispers of the truth. They all saw the war that is happening above us and all around us. Keep spreading the truth and love.

The whole point of the video I think is that the song transcends any person or any emotion. It can be happy or crushingly sad. It can represent freedom or represent imprisonment. This is more interesting than what would have been just another love song music video.

I have a story to tell and I'm going to tell it quick.Because I'm sick of telling it but I think some people might find it interesting. And cool. Way cool. When I was a young Lad in Los Angeles , California , where everything happens by the way , my friend's father was a big wig with a big music company. I won't say what one. He used to bring home boxes of vinyl demos of new groups that were trying to get a contract. We were about 12 years old and one day my friends dad brought home more boxes of records for us to listen to also and give our opinion. He said ... There's a record in there from this new English guy. Check it out I think he is going to maybe be somebody. It was Elton John's first record. I heard it before it was ever released to the world. That's it ! Be safe !

Lianne Parkin
Lianne Parkin:
Lyrics

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

That part with the woman at the liquor store was the part I related too. That was me after my father passed. 25 years sober and I wanted a drink so bad. So I just sat in my car and reflected. Never went in the store and still sober. This video in some way relates to all of us. I wish they would do this more with some of " the classics"
