From Addiction to Connection | Cathy Gasiorowicz | TEDxFridley

Where is the humor in a life-threatening food addiction? Through all of the pain, humiliation, and danger… sometimes a person lives to laugh again.

Cathy Gasiorowicz is a senior writer at StoneArch, a Minneapolis-based health marketing agency
that understands the power of a good story. Until 1996, Cathy worked as a dancer, choreographer and
actor at various theaters (Chanhassen Dinner Theaters, Minnesota Opera, Children’s Theater, History
Theater), and as a mime (Yoplait Yogurt, MN State Arts Board, countless bar mitzvahs). Her onewoman

show, Falling Out of the Family Tree, was a sell-out at the 2004 Minnesota Fringe Festival.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Brava friend of so many years. I am in awe of you, your story & above all your courage. The idea of "authentic self" is something I have been using in the recent months do describe the woman I am choosing to embrace & embody. Incredible gift you have using all of your artistic talents to tell such a powerful story. Mary xo
