Happy Halloween, everyone! Everyone talks about 'creepy' music they hear, stuff with little squeaks and ambient hums, but this composition that was written in 1961 by Polish composer Krzystof Penderecki truly stretches the mind for the surreal and terrifying. Yes, it's a more popular piece of his but it's one of my favorites. Sadly, I cannot find the artist information for this piece. If anyone knows of it, could they tell me so I can properly attribute them? Thanks!
Please, turn off all the lights and turn up the stereo (or your headphones) and try not to get too scared!
Happy Halloween,

Imagine you're alone and wandering around somewhere you KNOW you're supposed to be alone. Imagine somewhere you'd be terrified to be. (Whatever your worst fear is.) Then picture getting this creeping sensation that something is behind you but you're far too scared to look behind you so you walk faster but the feeling doesn't go away. In fact the idea that you're not alone begins to grow in your mind and it becomes simply impossible to ignore. Your mind races with horrific images of your worst nightmare walking right behind you. You can almost feel it's breath on your neck. Panic strikes and you begin to run as fast as you can though you know it's keeping up with you. Any moment you're sure you'll be grabbed and come face to face with your worst nightmare. Your heart races, tears streak down your face, panicked screams erupt from your chest as you run uselessly away from the thing chasing you. Then you reach the end of the path and you're blocked in.
You HAVE to turn around. You slowly start to turn SURE that you'll see the thing inches from your face. But it's not there. It's only you. You sigh and let out a shaky laugh as you start to walk back the way you came. You get a few steps forward before you see something at the end of the hallway you just ran down peek out at you. Then...it rushes at you. And you're forced to watch it scuttling towards you with it's horrific eyes and smile fixated on you.
