Anyone else remember when The Jetsons and The Flintstones had a crossover?
Person Person:
Why aren't there any good futuristic shows like this anymore?
Amirah:
I’m a 90s kid and watched the jetsons faithfully!!
fjfjrfjfjr:
Really great theme song. A fine composition and really great musicians! This was a golden age of theme songs!!
kirkindog:
Grew up watching “The Jetsons” but was never that much into it. I’ve recently “rediscovered” it on the HBO Max app and I can’t stop watching it. The humor now makes sense to me as an adult & it’s amazing on how much they got right as far as the future (still waiting on those flying cars, though). Btw, the theme song is very catchy, every bit as good as it’s sister show, “The Flintstones”...😎
Alex G:
One of the most iconic theme songs of all time...and it's just one sentence. That's impressive! 👏👏👏
ufwkuno:
Congratulations to George Jetson's mother for the birth of this beautiful man.

Never heard of this show before, but apparently George was born today, so I'm playing this for my parents

I watched the Jetson when new.It was funny and imaginitive.I also loved the Flintstones. Both cartoons were really for adults, they weren't childish, and a lot of the issues were adult level, but kids enjoyed them too.

Aaron Landry:
I remember watching this on boomerang back in the 2000s, especially during Cartoon Network's dark ages (2009). This, Dexter's laboratory, wacky races, and Johnny bravo made my childhood. I didn't care how old they were, they were still better than Squirrel boy or cramp twins, or Nick/Disney sitcoms at that time to now.
Peralta Maria Fransisca:
I can't seem to get this song out of my head these quarantine days 😘
Ethan Ferrer:
God I love this show soo much. Brings back good memories from Cartoon Network and boomerang

It’s crazy how a lot of the tech in this show is actually available in real life. Gotta wait until the 2060’s to see how much more ‘accurate’ it is.
Mani:
Happy birthday George Jetson!!
Carissa Conti:
The most lyrically complex theme song in television history.
Griffin Erb:
This show was lit 🔥 oh and his wife taking his wallet instead of the bill is totally my sister 😂

I grew up in the 60's and 70's, watched it on Saturday mornings all the time. Wouldn't have been Saturday without them.
Cvetko:
My parents would bring me to school very early, i was basicly only one there for a good minute, and i would turn on tv and watch jetsons. It brings back good memories🥰

Not even a 90s kid but i grew up watching cartoons from 60s to late 2000s the memories😞

Anakin SkyWalker:
If they had ever made a live action version of The Jetsons, I always pictured Mel Gibson as George Jetson and Danny DeVito as Mr. Spacely.
Jacks Craig:
Without The Jetsons TV show, nobody would have known what hip things to invent when they got older. The theme song is so good and man!, do they ever pack the string lines into that beginning. Wow!
Kerry Cutino:
Rip Hoyt Curtain. This man was a Orchestra Genius!!!! Hannah Barbera wouldn't be anything without his musical talent.
71crm:
I came here because I needed to hear "Jane, his wife" again

James West:
Hoyt Curtin, a truly underrated composer.
Mr. Skeletal:
Today is the day, today he has come into this world.
John Wagner:
Who sang the theme song for The Jetsons? Nobody seems to know, but the answer might be a forgotten vocal group called The Skip-Jacks.
The LA-based quintet, which had a couple of minor pop hits in 1959 and 1960, was tapped to sing the iconic theme for The Flintstones. A couple years later, they were hired to sing the theme for The Patty Duke Show. After listening many times, it definitely sounds as if The Skip-Jacks sang the Jetsons, Flintstones, and Patty Duke Show themes.
But without doubt, The Skip-Jack's most successful member was Stella Stevens. Stella went on to enjoy a respectable career as a supporting actor in films, including The Nutty Professor (opposite Jerry Lewis) and The Poseidon Adventure. Her many TV credits include Bonanza and Magnum P.I.
One of Hollywood's so-called "Blonde Bombshells," Stella Stevens modelled in the nude several times for Playboy magazine, including "Playmate of the Month" in January 1960. Stella turned 83 on October 1, 2021.
Alex Hartsell:
If they are making a new Jetson animated movie or a new show (live action or animated) they need to get Alan Silvestri to score the theme and music cause he matches prefect to this.
SanctifiedRaul:
I miss this show i was always watching this when i was 3-4 years old :(
Stephen Roux:
I used to watch the Jetsons as a kid, back in the 70s, and I swear, I remember a version of this that also introduces his dog Astro, then Astro's capsule departs to a doggie kennel.
Agrub Ohub:
And 9 months later he's finally here
Tara Quinch:
Best theme song ever!
Pat Pearce:
Flying cars... robots... covid bubbles... we almost have the same technology now. Most realistic representation of the future.
